SSTA Supervisory System for Telecommunication by A.S.C. has been the main product for the supervision of telecommunication networks up to year 2001, with several installations world-wide. Totally engineered and developed by A.S.C., the system provided the best functionality’s in terms of supervision and management of TELCO (PDH and SDH).

A distributed intelligent architecture and a friendly interface make the events and the alarms, generated by the system, easy understandable thus enabling a quick intervention by the operator’s side.

SSTA can be easily integrated to TMN (Telecommunication Management Network) and Network Monitoring systems. To this purpose, a dynamic interface with TMN TeMIP platform was developed.

Main functionalities of the product are:

- Real time monitoring of TELCO entities (systems) and alarms/events detection,

- Alarm correlation,

- Transmission quality control aiming to a predictive faults diagnostics,

- Long-term archiving and Performance Monitoring (PM) Statistics,

- Possibility to change the operational status of transmission apparatus and related devices,

- User configuration that enable to adapt SSTA to different needs on TELCO network.

Its updated SSTA+ version enables operators to use new functionality’s and to perform better maintenance levels.
