History and milestones 1994, Start up 1994, A.S.C. was established in Terni, thank to a engineers pool, which had gained wide expertise in some enterprises of the surrounding, especially Alcatel-Telettra in Rieti. 1995-2002 The TTC experience (Telettra Telecommunication Control) A.S.C. becomes a partner for Alcatel and signs a Purchase Agreement for the upgrading of TTC supervisory systems and PDH and SDH nets, for over 75 customers around the world. The most important amount of intervention on such systems, was carried out in the year 2000, also due to the Millenium Bug issue. For this very reason, Alcatel requested A.S.C. to manage all system upgrades and work-around to be installed for each TTC version. 1996-2203, SSTA Supervisory System The huge amount of intervention on the field for the TTC contract lead both Alcatel and A.S.C. to offer some customers the substitution of the “old” TTC with brand new platform called ASC SSTA, compatible with Alcatel periphery and having modern graphic, hardware and software features. This substitution was made for final customer like: Comtelca (Central America), Telemat – Telasa – Embratel (Brazil), Telecom Italia – Maltacom – Tunitel (submarine fiber optics Sicilia-Malta and Sicilia-Tunisia), NATO (Italian Command, North East), Gazprom Interprokom Russia. 1996-nowadays, TMN expertise A.S.C. continuous experience gained on TMN sector, and its wide expertise in OSS system development and engineering, and multivendor interfaces. This made possible for A.S.C to successfully broaden the knowledge of TeMIP platform by HP, used since the Digital-Compaq era, taking care of: - Engineering and implementation of access modules, on every development tool available; - Custimisation and upgrading of access modules; - Interfaces, Gateways and protocol mediation modules; - Functional Modules project and implementation; - Graphic interfaces; - Localisation of TeMIP in languages other than English - Correlation tool and real-time event analysis Such improvement concerned projects regarding several clients on various countries as: ONI Portugal, Mobistar Belgium, RAI Italy, Wind Italy, H3G Italy, Telecom Polski, ecc. The laboratory expertise also made possible to be identified as reference partner for the engineering and realisation of specialists training path (Province of Bolzano, 2001-2006; Sirti; Hewlett Packard). 1998-nowadays, SCADA and TMN international competence centre A.S.C identity as competence centre for engineering and implementation of SCADA and telecontrol systems has been reached also thank to a gradual separation in activity sector other than Telco, such as Transport and Utilities. Main projects concerned the following final customer: - RFI Italian Railway Company, 1999-2003, diagnostic and predictive mainteinance system for railways entities; - Agip KCO, 2003-nowadays (Alcatel and Thales), integrated system of net management for the telecommunication infrastructure and DCS interfacing of Agip On-Shore & Off-Shore installations in Kazakhstan; - Dubai DU Telecom, 2004 (Italtel), access modules on HP TeMIP; - Grandi Stazioni S.p.A., 2006-nowadays (Honeywell) building management system for 13 biggest Italian railway stations; - Rompetrol, 2007-nowadays (HP Romania) net management integrated system of for 1000 unattended gasoline station. - Basell, 2008, DCS system for an integrated management of propylene storage (mission critical: such system provide propylene to 2 sphere of 10 mt. diameter, 10 bar pressurised, where 1.600 tonnes of highly explosive gas are stored). The system was entirely engineered by A.S.C. having the main critical section done according to safety regulation SIL2. The system uses a PCS7 Siemens platform, totally redundant with double CPU and fibre optics net.
