What is E-Government?
The Italian Public Administration is actually undergoing an implementation and re-organisation process. Such activity, is promoted and supported by the Ministry for Technical Innovation, which aims to enlarge the democracy and public administration transparency, thus simplifying its operational proceedings.
The E-government, represents one of the milestone to enforce such innovative step.
Through the e-gov, the Government, the Ministry for Technical Innovation and the National Centre for IT in the Public Administration, would enable a modernisation process, that may represent an excellence element of competitiveness for the entire Country.
By means of “Digital Government”, the Public Administration can activate for Citizens and Enterprises innovative services so as to make possible interacting in an easy and smart way with the Institutions.
Through a multi-channel access (web portal, call center, UMTS connection, public space information panels and digital TV), citizens and enterprises will be able to access the public administration services with no need to physically go to the office.
E-government services, make possible to: ask for on line certification, to submit instances for authorisations and other processes, to subscribe municipality services or paying taxes in an automated way.

The E-Government Project “ Municipalities of Europe”
Since its foundation, A.S.C. professional growth was driven by a deep trust in the adoption of innovative technologies, thank which A.S.C. made its path, reaching important objectives and established itself between relevant companies of the e-gov sector. The very same belief has brought A.S.C. to participating the project “Comuni d’Europa”, now in progress and included in the E-government National Plan.
This project aim is to introduce a modern front-office system, made up of multi-channel access points. It includes 70 Municipalities. The core project is the creation of a multi-channel front-office, using the modern IT’s capability to interface citizens and Public Administration either via Internet, or through Call Centre and Bancomat ATM.
Also thank to the expertise gained on the above project, A.S.C. is actually involved in developing e-government or e-democracy projects in developing Countries.
