TRANSPORT, A-SCada Railways
It is a high level development and maintenance environment of supervision applications and diagnostics monitoring of railways entities. It can be applied to every context in which diagnostics functions must be expanded or implemented by means of: functioning level status detection, supervision and monitoring (including alarm handling), archiving and management of data system, etc.
A-SCada Railways responds to the need to equip all the Control and Command Systems (according to local technical standard regulations) with instruments for supporting maintenance operations, with extra requisites capable of:
- generating and managing applications distributed on different functional levels (client, maintenance centre, central control room);
- integrating such applications on different platforms (i.e. Unix and Windows);
- optimising and centralising applications development and maintenance activities, especially those related to configuration of data system and updating.
A-SCada Railways provides the basic tools and components to generate,  configure, activate and maintain generic SCADA applications aiming to:
- real-time monitoring of system functioning status, having the possibility to collect also “predictive” information with a beneficial influence on the use of resources for the installation maintenance;
- optimising procedures & methodologies of data collection (and processing) on a certain system in order to  maximise the automation level, thus reducing the need for field inspections;
- distributing the information on hierarchical levels thus maximising quantity and quality of the available information, in order to improve the management and the maintenance performance on different installations types and railway infrastructures.
